Melbourne-bred psych-rock four-piece Stonefield have returned with another page in the new chapter the band opened with ‘Golden Dream’, which showcased a new, hazy psychedelic sound from the Findlay sisters.

‘Stranger’ is the latest swirling taste of the band’s forthcoming sophomore album. Lead singer Amy Findlay describes ‘Stranger’ as a song inspired by craving something that you know is bad for you. “You always want what you can’t have,” she said.

“It was one of the last songs written for the record and has a feel that we hadn’t yet written with.” Indeed, much like ‘Golden Dream’, the single is an example of the bold new direction Stonefield’s music is taking.
