It’s been a minute since we heard from Brisbane rockers Hey Geronimo, but we’re about to hear and see a whole lot more from them. Today the five-piece announced their debut album, Crashing Into the Sun, will drop Friday, 20th May via Chugg Music.

To celebrate the release of their eagerly anticipated debut LP, the band have unveiled the lead single, ‘Boredom’, complete with an awesome video that pays tribute to Aussie legends TISM by recreating their 1998 video for ‘Thunderbirds Are Coming Out’.

The clip features some 25 Queensland bands and not only pays tribute to TISM’s original video but includes a cameo appearance from TISM themselves, in all of their masked glory, adding a little Melbourne flavour to this thoroughly Brisbane affair.

Bands who appear in the video include Tape/Off, Jeremy Neale, Feuds, The Rocketsmiths, Born Joy Dead, Tin Can Radio, Danaj The Unstoppable, Sheppard, Charles Sale and the Pale Ales, Good Boy, Malo Zima, and even the Geenbung Community Church Choir.
