Finalists for the 2017 edition of the Queensland Music Awards have been announced today, with numerous talented musos getting a nod for the Sunshine State’s music awards.

Following months of deliberation from over sixty esteemed industry judges, the nominations are now in, with artists such as Tia Gostelow leading the charge with seven nominations, and Leanne Tennant garnering three nominations.

Other musicians of note in the nominations include Cub Sport and Amy Shark who are nominated in the ‘pop’ category, Mallrat and ROMY in the ‘urban’ category, and Hey Geronimo, who have earned a nod for their brilliant music video to ‘Boredom’, which spoofs a TISM classic.

The awards are set to take place at the Brisbane Powerhouse on March 27th, and will feature performances by Cub Sport, Good Boy, ROMY, Tia Gostelow, and many more yet to be announced.
