Yesterday Aussie music festival lovers were stirred into an excitement frenzy after the first artist for The Falls was revealed, and to keep the festival anticipation flying high, there’s a brand-spankin’ new camping music and culture event kicking-off in 2015.

The newest member of the Australian music festival circuit is Dashville Skyline, a two-day outing dedicated to celebrating everything about Americana music and culture, held from Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 October.

The inaugural Dashville Skyline is the new project from the organisers of adored The Gumball and PigSty In July festivals, and will be held at the same hallowed grounds at Dashville, Lower Belford in New South Wales.

The event will feature some of Australia’s best local performers in the genre which encompasses stylings of alt-country, pyschedelia, folk and soul as well as international Americana artists, not to mentioning adding a whole new experience with songwriter in the round sessions, the best American cuisine, cars and culture, providing punters with a truly unique music and culture experience.

Dashville Skyline organiser, Magpie Johnston, commented on the forthcoming event, “A lot of people were disappointed that The Gum Ball took a break in 2015, but it made it possible for us to put together this great new event, which celebrates the evolving scene for Americana music, food and culture in Australia, which we at Dashville really enjoy.”

“Because Americana is a primarily a sub-genre of country music, a lot of people who enjoy this style of music are still unaware of the fact that it is indeed of Americana influence. As such its going to be a bit of an experiment, but all going to plan we hope to add Skyline alongside The Gum Ball and PigSty in July as an annual event at Dashville” he explained.
