Lets be honest, winter sucks for live music fans in Australia. Sure, there’s Splendour In The Grass and there’s also that mysterious festival that looks like more like a Summer Camp, however there isn’t much else on in terms of music festivities – however, we’ve got a new player in the game.

It’s with wide open arms that we welcome the frosty new Aussie music festival, Snowtunes, a one-day event held at Jindabyne, New South Wales, on Saturday 15 August.

Operating from 5:00pm until midnight, the fresh faced festi will melt away live music fans’ winter blues with a stellar local lineup including Hermitude, Tkay Maidza, Allday, Paces, Slumberjack plus many more.

Designed so that punters can both hit the slopes throughout the day and have a boogie at night to some of Australia’s primo talent, Snowtunes is a unique and exciting new event on Australia’s festival circuit, offering a broad mix of music as well as snowy entertainment.

For any of you youngsters that don’t want to miss out on the inaugural event, worry not – ages 16 and above can attend Snowtunes, and for all you drinkers out there – don’t stress, they’ll still be serving alcohol. There’ll also be multiple bus services running from multiple locations to the festival.

Tickets are no doubt set to sell out, with prices starting at an affordable $79.00, with VIP packages and special student discounts available, too. If you’ like to snap a stub up, click here.

To get you super amped for the snowstorm of fun, organisers have provided a fun lil’ teaser from their Facebook, enjoy:
