Back in October, Bad//Dreems hit the Australian cultural psyche with another savage right hook in the form of ‘Mob Rule’. We’ll save all the hyperbole and let the lyrics speak for themselves: “Face full of black soot, right wing, left foot“, Ben Marwe sings on ‘Mob Rule’.

‘Mob Rule’ was one of a handful of songs the Bad//Dreems boys recorded earlier this year with legendary Australian producer Mark Opitz, who’s best known for his work with icons like INXS, Cold Chisel, and The Angels, and engineer Colin Wynne in their West Brunswick studio.

The track also served as the first taste of the band’s eagerly anticipated new album, the follow-up to the Opitz-produced Dogs At Bay, which dropped last year. Now, the band have finally revealed when fans can expect their sophomore effort to drop.

After announcing via Facebook that recording sessions for their second album are finally complete, an eager fan asked the band when we could expect album number two to drop, to which the band helpfully replied, “Probably March. Few bits and bobs beforehand.”

No doubt the album will be filled with more vivid dissections of Australia’s cultural decay. Meanwhile, you can see the band celebrate the release of their latest single and the brand new video when they hit the road this month. Check below for all the dates and details.
