Sydney’s Blues & Roots Festival has announced its second and final additions to the lineup for its 2012 incarnation, with the announcement of two legendary Australian acts to headline the October festival, which promises blues, roots and rock music lovers the ultimate long weekend of live music.

THE ANGELS are headlining, bringing their five decades of musical history to bear on the music event with a repertoire that includes some of the most iconic rock songs in Australia’s canon. The new Dave Gleeson-fronted iteration of the band will play the likes of ‘I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again?’, ‘Fashion & Fame’, ‘Dogs Are Talking’, ‘No Secrets’ and ‘Take A Long Line’ – all songs that have shaped the Australian musical landscape. Their addition to the bill provides a rare opportunity to catch the band in action live.

THE ANGELS will be joined by co-headliner, IAN MOSS, the Cold Chisel guitarist and sometimes singer will be drawing from his extensive career. Also confirmed for the second lineup announcement is 20-year old guitar virtuoso JOE ROBINSON, hailing from Temagog NSW. As well as Memphis blues singer BARBARA BLUE, JIM CONWAY’S BIG WHEEL, HAT FITZ & CARA ROBINSON, MATTHEW BARBER.

On top of that, also appearing on the bill are DAVE TICE BAND, DR DON’S DOUBLE DOSE, NAT COL & THE KINGS, CLAUDE HAY, MOJO WEBB & PETE CORNELIUS alongside another 30 acts. They will unite with harmonica master, CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE, Melbourne rockabilly lass LANIE LANE, acclaimed folk artist MIA DYSON and many more.

Held from the 25th to 28th October, the event, now in its fourth year, is regarded as one of Australia’s premiere blues and roots music festivals, showcasing a diverse range of new and established acts from Australia and beyond in the picturesque surrounds of Windsor; using a combination of indoor and outdoor staging,.
