Bluesfest 2018 has once again done what it does best and added another huge list of artists to its lineup, expanding the amount the list of artists headed to Byron Bay next March by so much that it’s hard to believe there will be any musical acts in the world not in attendance.

Following the festival’s intense first announcement a couple of months ago, which included the likes of Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, the New Power Generation, Lionel Richie, and The John Butler Trio, fans could have been forgiven for thinking that was all the fuel the fest had in the tank. Then, after a second announcement that included Gomez, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Hurray For The Riff Raff, and Canned Heat, concertgoers couldn’t believe their eyes.

But now, the festival has made yet another lineup announcement that includes one of the biggest acts in the world right now, in addition to some all-time favourites, critically-acclaimed darlings, and even a bit of local talent.

With Kesha, Sheryl Crow, and Melissa Etheridge kicking off the new additions, it’s already a huge list of artists, but that’s not even close to all. Iceland’s Ásgeir, England’s Newton Faulkner, and Colombia’s Juanes also join the ranks, as does Seu Jorge, who will be using his 2018 appearance to perform a special tribute to the life and music of the late, great David Bowie.

Of course, Bluesfest hasn’t forgotten the local artists either, with the eclectic Harts, the enigmatic William Crighton, and the mesmerising Holy Holy, who have just wrapped a huge year in which they released their newest record, Paint.

Bluesfest is all set to go down from Thursday, March 29th 2018 until Monday, April 2nd. With a stellar lineup such as this, the festival is undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest events on the Aussie concert calendar.

While some of the previously announced acts were nice enough to announce sideshows during their time here, it might be wise not to test your luck waiting for those and risking a sellout from Bluesfest, so now’s the time to grab your ticket.
