Former Jesus & Mary Chain drummer, long serving Primal Scream front man and legendary drug hoover Bobby Gillespie has put together a new all star band to play a one off gig in London. The Silver Machine features members of Oasis and The Sex Pistols. Former Pistol Glen Matlock will be playing bass; while Zak Starkey of The Who and latter day Oasis – as well as being a Beatle offspring – will be on the kit. Gillespie’s Primal Scream co-conspirators Barrie Cadogan and Andrew Innes will be playing guitar for the group who will perform covers of songs from 60s and 70s underground groups The Troggs, The MC5, Creation, The Flamin’ Groovies and The Chocolate Watch Band a the 1234 festival in London’s Shoreditch on July 24th.
