UNIFY Gathering 2017 has received a major injection of good, old-fashioned Australian punk rock with the addition of Aussie punk legends Bodyjar to the lineup. The addition brings the lineup to a total of 26 bands, who’ll play over two massive nights.
“Bodyjar mean everything to me, I first heard No Touch Red at my best mate’s older brother’s house and was hooked. I’ve been lucky enough to see them so many times and even tour with them. The most honest legendary bunch of blokes around. Such a privilege to call them friends,” said Luca Brasi’s Tyler Richardson.
He’s not the only one to look up to the Melbourne outfit, who burst out of the suburbs 20 years ago and have gone on to influence countless Australian bands, including Violence Soho. “The first time I heard these guys, punk rock became better forever,” said Soho’s Michael Richards.
Bodyjar will be taking the place of local metalcore favourites I Killed The Prom Queen, who have unfortunately been forced to pull out of their UNIFY Gathering spot due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Check out the full UNIFY 2017 lineup below.
