For anyone who’s ever had to sit for what feels like hours on the phone to Centrelink, feeling your ear get sweaty against your increasingly-warm Samsung as the same jingle plays over and over, you’ll know that it’s one of the least enjoyable ways to spend your day.

You’re not the only ones though; Melbourne metalheads Twelve Foot Ninja share your frustrations and, according to this piss-take they’ve put together with triple j, they clearly think that Centrelink might just be the devil.

The early notes in this one might start you twitching with annoyance, but don’t worry – the metal is about to kick in. Aside from the addition of some chunky guitars to the mix, the lyrics also go a long way to improving the otherwise-mind-numbing tones that serve as the basis.

We can only hope that Centrelink drop this one into the rotation, at least giving it a couple of spins an hour, just to brighten up the days of any metal heads left hanging on the phone for half of their mornings.
