Queens Of The Stone Age aren’t ones to back off and be shy. One needs only to listen to one of their tracks to get a taste of the upfront, badass nature of their music. Now we’ve got even further proof of the band’s frontman Josh Homme’s badassery thanks to a recent interaction with a Splendour heckler.

Performing at Splendour In The Grass on Sunday night, Homme took a brief moment mid-set to draw attention to a heckler in the crowd. After a punter stood up on top of another to give Homme the finger (the wrong finger, as Homme points out), the QOTSA frontman hit back.

“Get down, it’s past your fucking bed time son,” the rocker retorted, undoubtedly giving one Splendour attendee the dubious honour of being able to say that a festival headliner gave him a serve.
