Tame Impala aka Kevin Parker knows a thing or two about how to handle the sounds of the Sixties, so its only right he’s been able to get his hands dirty on the official remix of Mick Jagger’s latest single, ‘Get A Grip’.

Parker has also had plenty of experience recently working on other people’s tunes, having produced everything from Lady Gaga’s latest album to that of his mates in POND (not to mention collabs with super-producer Mark Ronson), so it’s not surprising that the Rolling Stones’ frontman brought him on board.

KP’s take is a fairly subtle one, cranking up the pedal effects in parts, stripping the composition back in others, imbuing the track with a little more urgency, and you can compare the two versions below.

Jagger’s new Gotta Get A Grip / England Lost (Reimagined) EP has also enlisted the help of Seeb, Alok and Matt Clifford on remix duties, and hyped grime rapper Skepta makes an appearance on the song ‘England Lost’.
