One of Australia’s hottest rising rap talents, Citizen Kay, has made his triumphant return with ‘Wax On Wax Off’, the new single taken from his eagerly anticipated forthcoming album, With The People, and to celebrate, he’s hitting the road this month.
‘Wax On Wax Off’ follows up the hard-hitting commentary of ‘Freedom’, Citizen Kay’s previous single taken from his Demokracy mini-album, which hit numerous radio playlists around the country, while the release was picked up by a number of college stations in the US.
With The People, which is slated to drop 16th October, sees Citizen Kay continue his collaboration with producer and writer Ben Garden. Together, they created the soulful hip-hop sounds of ‘Wax On Wax Off’, which is led by a huge groove, with plenty of dexterous wordplay.
If you’ve experienced a Citizen Kay show over the last year or so, you’ll know the young rapper is an energetic and engaging performer with a magnetic stage presence. Joining Citizen Kay on his upcoming tour will be swiftly rising hip-hop duo Coda Conduct.
