Rumours that AC/DC’s Angus Young would be joining Guns N’ Roses on stage at their Sydney shows were confirmed tonight.

Following a tweet by Gunners bassist Duff McKagan that the band were greeted by Angus when they touched down in Sydney, the guitar god jumped onstage with the band at ANZ Stadium.

Angus joined Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan onstage for two tracks, including the AC/DC classic ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’, and ‘Riff Raff’, both from the band’s Bon Scott era.

Angus is expected to do the same tomorrow night for the band’s second show at ANZ Stadium.

It’s not the first time Angus has joined Guns N’ Roses on stage; last April at Coachella he performed the same two AC/DC songs while on stage with the band.
