We’ve seen some notable mash-ups on Like A Version in recent years. This year’s Hottest 100 winners, The Rubens, famously celebrated their win on Like A Version by mashing up Kendrick Lamar’s ‘King Kunta’ (which came in at Number 2) and Adele’s ‘Hello’.

Swiftly rising Perth up-and-comers Tired Lion also blew our minds months back when they hit the triple j studios to perform an awesome alternative rock mash-up, combining Violent Soho’s ‘Saramona Said’ and the Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘1979’.

Now, Brisbane outfit Hey Geronimo, who unleashed one of the best local music videos of the year back in February, have put together tunes by two homegrown heroes, combining Courtney Barnett’s ‘Pedestrian at Best’ with Regurgitator’s ‘Happiness’.

As we’ve previously noted, this year’s Like A Version series has gotten off to an interesting start – we’ve seen a heart-wrenching David Bowie cover, an ambitious mash-up from this year’s Hottest 100 winners, a deeply divisive cover of a huge hit from 2015, and a cover that showed us what Like A Version is meant to be.
