Time to dust of that spandex Australia, glam rockers The Darkness are set to announced an Australian tour tomorrow.

Front man Justin Hawkins declared last year that not only were the band set to reunite with their original lineup of himself, brother Dan Hawkins, bassist Frankie Poullain and drummer Ed Graham, but they were going to release new material before unleashing themselves upon the world with a tour which seems to include Australia.

Spotted by Beat Magazine, the band teased the Australian announcement with a post on their Facebook page writing, “Dear Australia. Keep your eyes and ears open for some interesting news unveiled this Tuesday. Its been a while coming, but the time is upon us where we should pay you some attention ‘down under.'”

The British glam rock band rocked onto the world with the release of their debut album, Permission to Land, in 2003 lampooning a number of their contemporaries. But a short two years later and the band was imploding with members quitting or entering rehab for cocaine and alcohol addiction. Turns out the joke isn’t as funny when you tackle it by method acting.

Last month marked the release of their brand new single, ‘Nothings Gonna Stop Us’, which they hope will mark the beginning of a career comeback.  You can watch the music video below. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the expected tour announcement tomorrow.
