Daryl Braithwaite was rushed to hospital a week ago, and was forced to cancel an Australian Open appearance, and the Mornington Peninsula Red Hot Summer Tour show. There is no news as to what struck him down other than it was an infection of some sort.

Despite planning to be back on the road by today, Braithwaite has again been forced to cancel shows, admitting in a Facebook post that he is “making slow progress.”

“Thank you for all the get well messages, they are much appreciated. I am making slow progress but unfortunately the infection that I have is still with me, so I sadly have had to cancel the Night Quarter gig on the Gold Coast on Thursday 25 Jan and also the Riva Australia Day gig with Jon Stevens and Jimmy Barnes.

I so very much look forward to getting well.

Kindest Regards .. Daryl

Braithwaite hopes to be healthy for the Red Hot Summer show in Port Macquarie, on February 4.
