If there’s one thing that musical history has told us, it’s that rock stars usually have some pretty talented kids. Why, Glenn Frey’s son recently took the spot of the late muso at a gig, while John Bonham’s son famously took over the job of pounding the skins when Led Zeppelin reformed for their 2007 gig. Understandably then, the excitement levels are rising thanks to the news that the daughters of some famous Britpoppers are forming their own band.

As the London Evening Standard briefly reports, news has come forth that Pepper and Missy, the respective teenage daughters of Blur members Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn, have decided to form their own band.

Unfortunately, any more information about this new band is hard to come by, apart from the fact that the rest of the band members are “the progeny of other Nineties musicians”. So we could be seeing a pretty awesome band coming to light pretty soon, raised and taught by some of rock’s finest.

While we’re yet to get any more info, we’re definitely questioning who else will be in the band, and what they’ll call themselves. Sadly, the most obvious name, The Offspring, has already been taken, so it’ll be back to the drawing board in that regard.

As for the other members of the band, well, we have to admit it would be pretty amazing if Noel and Liam Gallagher’s daughters, Anaïs and Molly, were involved. Maybe then the Britpop rivalry between Blur and Oasis will be well and truly over.
