Spanning their 8-year career, The Distillers yielded a blistering sunburn on the unsuspecting world of punk and rock, taking cues from the anarchist ideals of the genre’s forebearers and melding it with grimy LA badassery.

It seems like 2018 may be the year we finally get to bask in their rebel glory again, with lead singer Brody Dalle taking to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek into what appears to be new music from the band. The red-tinged, atmospheric video’s caption reads, ‘THE DISTILLERS 2018’.

The news has also been confirmed via the band’s Twitter that looks like it was reactivated in October 2017.

Since the disbandment of the Aus/US crossover act, Brody Dalle has gone on to form the supergroup Spinnerette with other members of the Distillers as well as former Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queens Of The Stone Age members. In 2014, the tenacious artist released her first solo effort Diploid Love to huge critical acclaim.

With the world’s political and social state in shambles, a Distillers comeback is exactly what we need to remedy the wrongs of 2017 and dive into 2018 swinging.

Get nostalgic and ready to rebel and watch the video for ‘City Of Angels’.
