Despite once promoting the idea of a house of love, in which everyone could dwell in harmony, East 17 vocalist Brian Harvey has been arrested on suspicion of sending malicious tweets, according to the Beeb.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement that they “received an allegation of malicious communications relating to a Twitter account.”

“On Wednesday November 22, a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of malicious communications and has been taken to a north London police station. Enquiries continue.”

That man was one Brian Harvey, 43.

Harvey was booted from East 17 back in 1997, after making comments on the radio admitting to ecstasy use.

The comments caused a major uproar, as surely the guys behind songs like ‘Feel What U Can’t C’, ‘Love Is More Than A Feeling, ‘House Of Love’ and ‘Gold (Paws On The Floor Remix)’ wouldn’t touch party drugs.

Then there was the time Harvey stormed 10 Downing Street and demanded to speak to the PM.
