Ballarat mash-up duo Yacht Club DJs are back again with another dance inducing mixtape, released in support of their national Mayhem Tour.

Currently crossing the country with a massive string of shows, Gaz Harrison and Guy Chappell’s latest offering, Find Me A Macchiato Pronto, features a huge range of songs and artists from the past few decades, spanning for just under an hour.

As usual, the pair have blended together old and new, and a whole heap of genres you’d never thought would appear on the same track. From rap to rock, to pop, even country and classical, they’ve got it all covered.

Most recent additions include Fun’s “Some Nights”, the slower “Stay” from Rihanna, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ smash hit of 2012 “Thrift Shop”.

Then there’s the TV show theme songs, from teen drama The O.C. and as well as some children’s shows. The Trap Door theme song is mixed with Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal”, forming one of the mixtape’s greatest moments.

There’s worldwide hits like The Chili Peppers’ “Give It Away” and Sum 41’s “Fat Lip”, as well as others from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Kings Of Leon, Limp Bizkit, and Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mýa & Pink’s version of “Lady Marmalade” (from Moulin Rouge!).

Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend” adds some comical material to the mash-up, as does the addition of sounds from level two of Super Mario Bros.

Then there’s the tracks to get you singing along, like country classic “Looking Out My Back Door” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ace Of Base’s 90s hit “All That She Wants” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious”, while Blind Mellon’s “No Rain” brings about Find Me A Macchiato Pronto’s conclusion.

This mixtape literally has it all; from genre to era, the Yacht Club boys have got it covered. Although there are a few dull moments, there’s no doubt this mix will have your spirits lifted and you dancing along, no matter where you are or what time it is.
