After months of rumours and a fake leaked lineup, the first act has officially been confirmed for Laneway Festival 2017 as A.B. Original, who will both perform at the festival and MC the event at all five Australian dates.
A.B. Original are one of the most vital and visceral hip-hop collaborations to come along in a generation. Comprised of veteran emcees Briggs and Trials, A.B. Original made the announcement of their Laneway spot during their keynote Q&A at BIGSOUND.
Laneway 2017 is set to hit up Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Fremantle this January, which is slightly earlier than usual. As for the rest of the lineup, we’ll get it on 14th September.
This year’s lineup featured the likes of Flume, Grimes, and Violent Soho, as well as plenty of buzz acts that have gone on to dominate 2016, so expect something special for Laneway 2017.
