Despite the super sucky news that a major act has just pulled out of Splendour In The Grass and all subsequent sideshows, we’ve got some exciting festival lineup news: a Laneway 2016 act just leaked themselves.

Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke revealed in an interview with Stoney Roads that he would be bringing his exciting new live show with ex-member of Two Door Cinema Club and Redinho to Aussie shores at the start of next year, part of the forever-hip Laneway festival.

Mohawke told the publication, “I don’t know if it’s been announced yet but we’ll be at Laneway next summer for you guys, we’re bringing the live show” – nope, it most certainly hasn’t been announced yet, but we have no issues locking them in.

Laneway are yet to announce any acts performing in 2016, nor have they released any dates – however if it’s anything like this year’s epic lineup that consisted of the likes of Caribou, FKA twigs, Jon Hopkins, St. Vincent, Pond and Mac DeMarco, we’re certain the festival organisers will deliver yet again.

Notably, this year’s Laneway event was found to be Australia’s most female-friendly festival, with over half of the headlining acts all ladies, not to mention the majority of unearthed performers dominated by females, too – it’s no surprise that Tone Deaf reader’s voted it their favourite Australian music festival in our annual poll.
