Last week, Stevie Nicks said she didn’t think Fleetwood Mac would ever make another record, and now Christine McVie has said the band’s currently scheduled tours was intended to be their last.

Speaking to Uncut magazine,  McVie called the band “an umbilical cord that can’t be broken. It just pulls you back”, while explaining, “the 2018 tour is supposed to be a farewell tour – but you take farewell tours one at a time.”

Could this means the band won’t be retiring in 2018? Nicks was adamant about the band’s future regarding another album, but said: “What we do is go on the road, do a ton of shows and make lots of money. We have a lot of fun. Making a record isn’t all that much fun.”

That sounds good. Despite her nay-saying, McVie also seems committed.

“Somehow we always come together, this unit. We can feel it ourselves.”
