Peter Andre is embarking on his first Australian tour in twenty years, since back when Isla Fisher was killing it on Home and Away, and the entire nation was doing a dance called the Funky Junky on the regular. Oh, what a time!

Helping you relive those days is the support act CDB, whose ‘Hook Me Up’ and ‘Let’s Groove Tonight’ were also on high-rotation in the Summer Bay Diner jukebox back then.

Here are a few of my favourite Peter Andre facts, in no particular order: he was discovered by Molly Meldrum after performing on New Faces; the cover of his single ‘To the Top’ features Peter Andre dressed as a soccer goalie, standing in a soccer net; his single ‘All Night All Right’ features both Coolio and Warren G; he released a single, ‘Funky Junky’ that attempted and failed to start a dance craze, despite the only steps being to move your body to the left and then to the right; the fact  ‘Mysterious Girl’ hit #2 in the UK in 1996, and then #1 in 2004; that years ago, there was a tell-all from some past lover of his in a Woman’s Day where she said Peter liked her to use his washboard abs as a pillow and that “it was really uncomfortable” (I’m paraphrasing; it was years ago, but the memory of it is seared into my brain).

Anyway, pre-sale begins Tuesday, May 30, with general tickets available from Thursday June 1.
