Look, sometimes it gets a bit quiet in a guitar store. There’s nobody perched on a stool ‘testing’ out that Tele for the second straight hour, no deliveries coming in, just you and your empty shop.
So, what else are you going to do to amuse yourself but produce an entire ten-minute sketch video squeezing as many horrible puns and lame guitar-themed Dad jokes into a ten-minute span as possible?
That’s what Seattle guitar store owner and muso Jared Dines got up to, anyway, and the results are cringeworthy in an endearing sort of way. There are definitely a few gems in here, but the sheer volume of forced puns and deliberately-lame gags might be too much for even the most die-hard dad – challenge thrown squarely down.
Still, you can always pick a few of these out and use them to torment your local guitar store staff yourself if you’re having a particularly bad day and feel like ruining someone else’s.
