A Hanson Australian Tour 2014 has been announced.
The pop rock trio of brothers – Isaac, Taylor, and Zac – are returning Down Under with the release of their brand new album Anthem, set for Australian digital release on Friday 4th April along with the album’s lead single ‘Get The Girl Back’.
Heading Down Under this August, Hanson will be bringing their new album – as well as their catalogue of pop hits – to major venues in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle.
Presented by Chugg Entertainment and XIII Touring, the Hanson Australian Tour 2014 will mark the band’s first shows since their 2012 Shout it Out Tour, on which all shows across every major capital city sold out shortly after on sale.
As our Tone Deaf reviewer wrote of Hanson’s Melbourne show from that tour, the group displayed a sheer “depth of talent… the three Hanson brothers can write, perform and – as tonight proved – put on a show as excitable as it was fifteen years ago.”
Anthem is the band’s 6th studio album and follows Hanson’s 21st anniversary last year in 2013 (and 16 years since the release of ‘MmmBop’) with the release of their own craft beer ‘Mmmhops’ (yes, really). Produced and written by the band and mixed by Tom Lord-Alge, Hanson describe Anthem as “harder hitting rock [with] R&B influences – from James Brown, to early Michael Jackson, and AC/DC.”
