We got the day started with the admittedly unbelievable news that Aussie music legends The Avalanches are finally dropping new music later today. After 16 long years, it appears Hell is finally frosty enough.

Then Blue Mountains electronic duo Hermitude surprised us all by revealing that they’ve been busy in the studio since taking over America and releasing last year’s chart-topping Dark Night Sweet Light.

But it doesn’t stop there. There’s actually quite a few of our favourite Aussie bands who are dropping new music today and in the interests of making sure you don’t miss out on any of it, we’ve gathered it all here.

The Avalanches

After 16 years of keeping us on the hook, the homegrown plunderphonics legends are set to debut ‘Frankie Sinatra’, their much talked about comeback single, on triple j and Beats 1 later today.

Hermitude

As Run The Trap reports, Hermitude have unveiled a new single entitled ‘Gimme’ ahead of their performance at What The Festival. The bumping track has a heavy breakdown that’s sure to fill dance floors soon.

Big Scary

The crafty Melbourne duo first teased fans with the promise of new music earlier this week and they’ve now made good on that promise with the release of ‘Over Matter’, the first single from their forthcoming new album.

The Delta Riggs

After unveiling Dipz Zebazios back in 2014, The Delta Riggs spent the next 12 months as one of Australia’s most buzzed-about bands. Now they’ve returned with a brand new track, ‘Surgery of Love’.
