I Oh You have built a reputation on signing ‘next big things’. As the label that the likes of Violent Soho, DMA’s, DZ Deathrays, City Calm Down, and many more call home, they have a knack for this kind of thing.

Their latest signing is MOSSY, a project from Sydney musician Jamie Timony, who makes a unique brand of catchy but off-kilter avant-pop. He’s just released his debut single, ‘Electric Chair’, ahead of an EP later this year.

As Stereogum, who premiered the track earlier this week, notes, the track blurs the line between pop, soul, and psychedelic and there’s little doubt you’ll be hearing it on community radio and triple j soon.

The single premiered on triple j last night and I Oh You recently shared the track’s fresh new video, which comes courtesy of Australian-born director Kris Moyes, who’s worked with the likes of indie darlings like The Rapture and Grizzly Bear.
