Aussie icons Icehouse have been hit with illness this week, and have been forced to cancel both of their Perth shows in the wake of an unnamed band member’s emergency hospitalisation.

While the band’s apology to fans didn’t confirm which member of the band has been taken to hospital or why, it blamed a “sudden illness” and made it clear that frontman Iva Davis is not the one affected.

“Icehouse sends apologies to the fans who missed out on the shows this week for their disappointment and for any inconvenience caused,” the band told their fans in another statement, reassuring them that the shows will be going ahead at The Crown Theatre on new date – although fans will now have to wait until mid-June for the rescheduled shows, or request a refund through Ticketmaster.

While it’s not an ideal result, we’re sure Icehouse fans will just be hoping for the entire band to be back in good health as quickly as possible. Their next show in Adelaide seems to be unaffected, and we hope to see the full band take to the  stage next week.
