Like week, Mike Einzinger from Incubus posted a few photos with Skrillex, which had many people speculating that the EDM king might be working with Incubus on their new album, expected to drop in April.

Lisa Worden, Music Director at KROQ, has now confirmed this, after hearing seven songs from the new album, including the aforementioned collaboration.

“Sonny [Moore] did have a hand in a song. I may or may not have heard something”, Warden teases, before adding, “OK, it’s fricking fantastic!”

The first single from the album, a “rocker” named ‘Nimble Bastard’ will premiere on KROQ on February 16. Despite the Skrillex connection, Warden promises the band are “going back to their roots” on this album.

She also pinpointed a track that adds a bit of slinkiness to the Incubus sound. “It’s slow, moody and vibey—it’s the kind of song where you’ll picture Brandon writhing around with a lot of girls in the video—super sexy.”

Hard to know what to make of all that, really, but we’ll know more of what to expect once ‘Nimble Bastard’ drops in a few weeks.
