Remi is calling out to those who came to his Melbourne show last Friday night to aid in the retrieval of some musical equipment that was stolen.

A pair of clapping sticks was removed from the stage at some point throughout the evening, belonging to an Indigenous Australian who was acknowledging traditional land owners before Remi and co. enter the stage.

This isn’t the same as another band mistakenly packing up a guitar lead with their gear – these are quite distinctive items and can’t have been taken without intent. Having said that, Remi is merely calling for the return of the clapping sticks. He writes:

“PSA: For those who came to our Melbourne Shows, you would have seen these incredible brothers acknowledging country before we came out. On Friday Night someone took Neil’s Clapping sticks off stage. If you took them, or saw someone that did please dm me so we can organise getting them back to Neil.”

Remi can be contacted via his Facebook page.
