If you’ve not yet had the pleasure of seeing Jack Carty live then here’s your chance to see what all the fuss is about! Following the release in late April 2012 of Jack Carty’s sophomore album, BREAK YOUR OWN HEART and subsequent national tour, Jack will be back wowing audiences with a string of intimate dates in Sydney and Melbourne throughout July.

Jack will take up residence at the stunning CAFÉ LOUNGE Thursday nights in July and can then be seen Sunday nights in Melbourne at BAR BETTY. With his unique blend of indie, folk pop songs these shows are bound to warm you on a winter’s night.

To coincide with the July shows, Jack has teamed up with Video Director Jefferton James (Boy and Bear, Kate Miller-Heidke, Dead Letter Chorus) creating his first official video for the fantastic new single ‘SHE’S GOT A BOYFRIEND’ taken from the new album BREAK YOUR OWN HEART.

BREAK YOUR OWN HEART sees a darker, more dynamic turn in Carty’s song writing coinciding with a year that was, in the words of the man himself: “Simultaneously one of the best and worst of my life.” From the rolling guitar line of opening track ‘The Length Of Canada’ (co-written with Grammy Award Winning Songwriter Dan Wilson (Adele, Dixie Chicks)), through the gritty directness of ‘Everything, Unhappily’, the immense longing of songs like ‘Travelling Shoes’ to the ironically upbeat swagger of ‘Waiting, Waiting!

BREAK YOUR OWN HEART is already being dubbed Jack Carty’s most ambitious, eloquent and accomplished release to date, reaching a peak of #8 on the iTunes Australia Singer-Songwriter Chart and #15 on the Australian Independent Records chart on its week of release.
