Just in case you’ve been sitting, waiting, and wishing for indie-folk legend Jack Johnson to come back to our fine country, then today is your lucky day, with the US muso announcing a four-date run of shows for December.

Last in the country for 2014’s Bluesfest, Johnson has today announced a series of all-ages shows that will see him hit up Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth, before he jets over to play one lone show in New Zealand.

This Aussie tour is set to see Jack Johnson bring Australian audiences their first taste of his new album, All the Light Above It Too, which is due for release on September 8th. Considering that three of his last four records managed to top the ARIA charts, this could be your chance to see yet another number one album being performed in concert.

You might remember how last year we took a look at the brilliant, environmentally-conscious concert rider that Jack Johnson has. Here’s hoping that this Aussie tour is going to see a whole lot more environmental changes occurring at Aussie venues thanks to the folk hero.

Joining Jack Johnson on this tour is Bahamas, a fellow artist from Johnson’s on Brushfire Records label. Born in Canada, Bahamas is the stage name of Afie Jurvanen, a folk musician whose music is frequently critically acclaimed, and has worked worked with a number of high-profile artists, including The Lumineers, Howie Beck, and Feist.

Jack Johnson’s Aussie tour kicks off in Sydney on December 1st, and wraps up in Perth on December 8th. Considering the huge response that his previous tours have seen, you’ll want to act quickly to snap these tickets up.
