Since 2014’s Lazaretto cemented itself as one of the must-have albums of the year thanks to its intriguing and exciting vinyl release, folks have been wondering just how Jack White is going to follow that up. Well, it seems like they won’t have to wait much longer, with White sharing two new songs from his new record today.

Following a slow start to 2017 which saw Jack White release one new track, and indicate he was hard at work with his new record, we managed to finish off the year with news that his new record was “practically done”, and that fact that Australia’s own C.W. Stoneking has scored a guest appearance. Now, Jack White has given us a fresh taste of his new tunes.

In addition to confirming that his new record is indeed called Boarding House Reach, White shared two new songs, ‘Connected By Love’ and ‘Respect Commander’, which showcases Jack White at his bluesy best, while indicating that the new record may feature a little bit of modern instrumentation, including a little sampling of spacey synthesisers in ‘Connected By Love’.

While Jack White is yet to announce a concrete release date for Boarding House Reach, select fans will be able to get their hands on a physical copy of the new songs this weekend. Limited edition 7″ singles featuring the new tracks are set to be made available for one day only this Saturday at Nashville and Detroit’s Third Man Record stores. So if you’re in the area, you’re in luck, otherwise, you might be forced to head to eBay pretty soon.

While we wait to see just when the new record from Jack White is set to drop, check out the brand new songs below.
