Metallica teamed up with Lady Gaga to blast through their tune ‘Moth Into Flame’ at the Grammys, a performance which was notably marred by the fact that someone forgot to turn James Hetfield’s microphone on. Gulp!

To make it worse, Lady Gaga was audible for the call and response section, making things more lopsided. Hetfield eventually jumped over and shared a mic with Gaga, like a ’60s backing vocalist, but the damage was done.

Hetfield was visibly furious throughout the entire debacle, kicking away the mic stand once the performance ended, and throwing his guitar away in anger. He also seems to tear strips off someone at the side of the stage.

Can’t imagine Metallica’s after-Grammys bash will be too much fun. At least Gaga looked amazing in her Metallica singlet.
