Though the highly anticipated 2015 return of Let Them Eat Cake is only a day away from taking over the idyllic Werribee Mansion lawns, the organisers of popular electronic festival have announced a major last-minute lineup change, with Jamie xx now set to take the place of DJ Sneak.

“Due to doctors orders DJ Sneak has been forced to cancel his tour & appearance at Let Them Eat Cake NYD 2015,” reads a statement from organisers. “Although this is disappointing we are absolutely thrilled to announce Jamie xx will now be filling the void and playing at Let Them Eat Cake NYD 2015!”

“Jamie xx is a multi-talented beat maker who is also part of one of this generation’s most influential acts: The xx. But it’s not just as a band member where he plies his trade, as he has added his unique beats-based remix touch to a host of critically acclaimed artists like Florence and the Machine, Gil Scott-Heron and Adele.”

Organisers have advised that adjusted set times will be released tomorrow morning to accommodate for the changes. Meanwhile, the cancellation of the legendary house DJ’s Australian tour dates means that NSW-based New Year’s Eve festival Lost Paradise will have to extend performance times for some of their artists.
