Iconic British guitarist and singer-songwriter, Johnny Marr, has regretfully been forced to reschedule his entire upcoming Australia and New Zealand tours due to ongoing family illness.
The forever humble musician sadly wrote to fans, “I’m really disappointed to not be able to play these shows. The touring has been so enjoyable for me and the band and the audiences have been great everywhere. If it was about just me just being unwell I would have found a way to continue as I did when I broke my hand last year, but to not be there for one of my family is not right. Thank you to everyone for the kind messages. See you soon. Johnny. X”
Despite the cancellation of this tour, which was set to begin in just under two weeks, Marr is confident that he’ll return to Australia very soon to perform.
Frontier Touring have issued a statement of the reschedule, “we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Revised dates are close to being rescheduled and will be announced as soon as possible. If the new dates are not suitable, rest assured ticketholders will be able to secure a refund.”
“While we encourage fans to hold on to their tickets, the option to secure a refund is now available to you via the official ticketing agency you purchased from” Frontier writes.
