When Memphis singer-songwriter Julien Baker made her way to Australia last year to play a select handful of shows, they went down as some of the absolute best gigs of the year. Intimate venues were packed to capacity and treated to a truly enthralling live set, equal parts sombre and playful.
Now, with her name on the bill of a sold-out Splendour in the Grass this July, Julien has announced a run of shows across the East Coast, including her first visits to Hobart and the more regional parts of Victoria.
Julien has since signed to Matador and released her gorgeous ‘Funeral Pyre’, and now that she’s showing up on festival lineups, this could be your last chance to catch her at these smaller venues. Don’t miss this one.
