Tragedy has struck Las Vegas-based band The Killers after their saxophone player was reportedly found dead in his home near the city of the sin.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, police have determined 33-year-old Tommy Marth was killed by a gunshot wound to the head. His death has been offically ruled a suicide by officials in Clark County, Nevada, where Las Vegas is located.
Marth had played with The Killers for a number of years, including on live tours between 2008 and 2010, and on two of their albums, Sam’s Town and Day & Age.

“I’m just trying to make sense of things right now and help some people who aren’t doing very well,” local musician Ryan Pardey told the newspaper. “He was one of the most talented people in our community and one of my closest friends since we were 18.”
The Killers, made up of lead singer Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci, rose to fame in 2004 with their debut album “Hot Fuss,” and have gained global success with singles such as “Mr. Brightside” and “When We Were Young.”
