King Gizzard have already set a bloody high standard with their Gizzfest lineups in Melbourne and Sydney, but the Gizzfest Brisbane leg isn’t dragging its heels either, bringing a highlights package of bands to the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Joining their hosts King Gizzard will be a tightly-curated bill of Japanese psych outfit Kikagaku Moyo and Seattle surf rockers La Luz, along with an Aussie trio of The Murlocs, The Creases, and Leah Senior, plus a host of others piling into the various Gizzfest hut stages.

The ‘Jet Black Cat Music Hut’ boasts The Delicates, Nice Biscuit, Whalehouse and Microfiche; the ‘Loaded Hut’ brings Low Dive, Pool Shop, Donny Love, Max Chillen & The Kerbside Collective and VOIID; and finally, ‘Sam’s Crab Shack’ deals up Michael Meddlycott, Flamingo Jones, Gooby Jim and Jordan Rochfort.

Wait, did we say finally? Not quite – Gizzfest Brisbane still has another hut stage yet to be announced, so you’ll have even more music to soak up, in between the food and other attractions of the Brisbane Showgrounds.

It’s another impressive lineup following the carnival-themed exploits planned when Gizzfest hits Sydney’s Luna Park, or the genuinely massive hometown outing on offer when King Gizzard bring Gizzfest 2017 back to Melbourne, and we’re sure the remaining legs in Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle and Byron Bay will continue the hot streak.

Gizzfest Brisbane all kicks off from 2pm-10pm at the Brisbane Showgrounds marquee on Saturday November 18, with tickets on sale now for a bargain 70 bucks, and until then, we’ll have King Gizzard’s new jazz-influenced album Sketches of East Brunswick to keep us busy, as we wait for their fourth and final LP for 2017.

Check out the full Gizzfest Brisbane lineup below, along with the new video clip for ‘Invisible Face’.
