The best thing about having a new Liam Gallagher album on the horizon is the slew of interviews he does, and the amazing quotes that come from these.

Yesterday on BBC Radio 2, Gallagher was asked which acts he enjoyed checking out at Glastonbury. Turns out he didn’t.

“I watched Dizzee Rascal’s set from my room yesterday, and then I watched Love Island. That’s where it’s at. That’s what goes on man”, he explained.

It would appear that in the downtime between his last run with Oasis splinter project Beady Eye, and recording this album, he’s had a lot of time to get into the program. “I’ve had four years of doing nothing, you know what I mean? I’ve gotta do something and I’ve gone to the dark side and Love Island it is.”

Liam’s debut solo album As You Were will be out October 6.
