As you might be aware, the world famous Glastonbury Festival is happening right now in England. This year’s event has seen heavyweights such as Radiohead and Foo Fighters perform amazing sets, while others, such as Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, have given some much-talked about performances as well. However, Gallagher’s set has been gaining attention for the emotional tribute that he closed his performance with.

Gallagher, a native of Manchester, has been quite supportive of his town recently. Having appeared at the One Love Manchester Concert with members of Coldplay to raise money for the victims of the horrific attacks during last month’s Ariana Grande concert, Gallagher used his Glastonbury set to pay tribute to the victims of the attacks, and the victims of the recent devastating Grenfell Tower blaze in London.

After playing an unforgettable set of Oasis covers and his solo material, Gallagher closed his performance by covering ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ for the first time; a song usually performed by his brother, and occasional sparring partner, Noel. “If you know the words, join in,” he asked of the crowd, before jumping into a largely a capella rendition of the track.

With Liam giving the crowd the duty of singing the classic chorus, the thousands-strong audience happily complied, turning the legendary Oasis song into an emotional anthem of solidarity. Chec out footage of the performance below.
