In case you missed it, songwriter and indie pop sensation Montaigne released her debut EP last year.

Touted by one of our Tone Deaf writers as one of the 17 Aussie Ladies Who Are Making Pop Music Cool Again she’s stunned audiences with her arsenal of baroque pop gems like her single ‘I’m a Fantastic Wreck’ and a thrilling voice that saw her garner wide acclaim for her Like a Version cover of Sia’s inescapable 2014 hit ‘Chandelier’, Montaigne looks poised to turn the tide of this war.

A track you can’t miss though is her debut EP Opener ‘A Cinematic Plea For An End’ which the talented songwriter describes as a track that “basically expresses several issues with idealism, both in platonic and romantic relationships,” explains Montaigne.  “It is pretty much a letter to myself which is me trying to ensure that I don’t create unreasonable and idealistic expectations of situations and relationships, so that I don’t hurt myself nor others.”

We’ll be premiering the video for this track tomorrow, but in the meantime pop by Montaigne’s Facebook page for more info.
