Calling all budding album sleeve artists, or simply anyone who’s got a knack for drawing gap-toothed portraits.

Indie rock goofball and jizz jazz poster boy Mac DeMarco has got an offer that’s simply too good to refuse: your artwork could be selected as the front cover of his next release.

The Canadian musician behind one of the year’s best records, Salad Dayshas put a call out to his fanbase for album cover ideas as part of a competition hosted by his record label, Captured Tracks, as Stereogum points out.

DeMarco will handpick two winning portraits from the submissions, which will then be used as the artwork for two future singles to be released as part of his 7” Club vinyl series, as well as scoring a full subscription to the limited edition record collectors’ club (cheekily called The Wonderful World Of Mac DeMarco).

There’s a few terms and conditions for the comp from the artist, who once told Tone Deaf that being at Meredith 2013 was “the most messed up [he’d] ever been in [his] entire life.”
The nitty gritty is as follows:

Rules:
1. Must be original art and you must be sole owner of copyright.
2. Must fit 7×7″ dimensions.
3. Must be an Instragram follower of @capturedtracks and submit to @capturedtracks with #sketchymac
4. Must transfer copyright to Mac for potential future reproductions
5. Must be submitted before the 27th of June 2014.

If you’re looking for inspiration, you should turn to the first two 7” releases for Mac DeMarco’s limited edition vinyl club – recreating the singer-songwriter as a French aristocrat and as MAD Magazine‘s iconic Alfred E. Newman (as seen below). Or you could always watch 34-minute ‘Macumentary’ Pepporoni Playboy again. And if you haven’t seen it yet – you really should.
