Thrash metal icons Megadeth have announced they will return to Australian shores this October for some absolutely massive shows in venues around the country, fresh out of the studio where they’ve been working diligently on their next album.

The heavy metal legends will be hitting up venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth for what’s sure to be some absolutely electrifying performances from some of the most acclaimed musicians working in the genre.

Having sold over 50 million records worldwide, earning platinum certification in the US for five albums, and receiving 11 Grammy nominations, Megadeth are bonafide legends of heavy metal, ranking with some of the most iconic bands in the game.

The band’s new album is slated for release in October to coincide with their Australian tour and will be their first with a refreshed new lineup featuring the talents of Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler and renowned Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro.

Joining Megadeth will be Finnish melodic death metal masters Children Of Bodom, who are also putting the finishing touches on their own new album, I Worship Chaos, which is slated to drop 2nd October, just in time for their Aussie visit.
