It’s still a long way off on the horizon, but Meredith has just announced its first act and announced the dates. You know what that means: it’s time to put your name in the ballot and start praying.

For year number 27, the beloved Victorian festival will be taking punters on a “4D Odyssey in the Supernaturalest Amphitheatre on Earth” from December 8-10, and anyone who’s been before will know pretty much exactly what that enatils: a“magical mix of music, nature and weird and wonderful humanity at its finest”.

One of those fine humans will be the incomparable NZ folk-goth Aldous Harding, a perfectly-fitting choice and, as Aunty M puts it, “a new sort of magnetic. Beyond mere performance”.

With a lineup last year that saw Peaches, King Gizz and BadBadNotGood hit the stage, we’re expecting something special once again when the lineup is released “sometime in August”.

You can head to the site right now to jump on the ballot, and start brushing up on your Aldous Harding gothic stylings below.
