Having announced a huge raft of sideshows last week, including headline dates from the likes of Blur, The Wombats, Of Monsters & Men, and more, Splendour In The Grass 2015 organisers show no sign of slowing down, now announcing sideshow dates for The King Khan & BBQ Show.

The Canadian garage rock duo — featuring guitarist and vocalist King Khan, best known for his work as the inimitable frontman of King Khan & The Shrines, and drummer Mark Sultan — will play Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday, 22nd July and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Friday, 24th July.

The band have received critical acclaim for their steady output of albums, which feature the kind of brute force, devil-may-care guitar work and slickly worded lyrical one-liners that we’ve come to expect from a King Khan project.

The pair were last Down Under back in 2012, their first appearance since they made headlines for their bizarre antics at the Sydney Opera House during Vivid LIVE 2010. The show infamously featured outlandish props, stage invasions, and even the makings of an audience food fight.
