New Navy are one of these bands who just gain attention where ever they go. Already in their not-too-lengthy careers, they have played alongside the likes of Miami Horror, Wolfmother, Dappled Cities, Grafton Primary and everyone’s favourites – The Philly Js. Now having their latest track ‘Zimbabwe’ as the Featured Track on Triple J’s Unearthed, they’re receiving more interest than ever.
The four New Navy lads are from Sydney and primarily write songs about escaping the every day obligations of work and home life and exchanging these for holidays, beach parties, sunsets and other seemingly distant fantasies. Their track ‘Zimbabwe’ off their latest EP entitled ‘Uluwatu’ features strong vocals, catchy melodic hooks and swings and driving percussive sections.
